Policy Details:
- The use, possession, distribution, sale, or purchase of controlled substances (drugs) on company property or while performing company business is prohibited.
- Reporting for work or being at work while impaired by or under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs is prohibited.
- The use of prescribed drugs or over-the-counter medications is permitted on the job if it does not impair an employee’s ability to perform their duties effectively and safely.
Enforcement:
- All employees may be subject to drug testing before employment, randomly during employment, and/or after any accidents or incidents as determined by company policy.
- Refusal to submit to a drug or alcohol test is grounds for immediate termination.
- Any violation of this policy will lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Assistance Program:
- Employees struggling with substance abuse are encouraged to seek help. The New Day Company, LLC may assist with rehabilitation and recovery resources.
- Seeking help will not be used against an employee in employment decisions, and confidentiality will be maintained in accordance with our privacy policy.
We understand the seriousness of substance misuse and its effects on the workplace. The New Day Company, LLC expects all employees to cooperate in maintaining a work environment free from the effects of drugs and alcohol.
