Anti-Harassment and Discrimination Policy

Purpose

The New Day Company, LLC is committed to creating and maintaining a work environment in which all employees, clients, and vendors are treated with dignity and respect. The company will not tolerate any form of harassment or discrimination and is committed to enforcing this policy at all organizational levels.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, including management, staff, contractors, and anyone who has a relationship with The New Day Company, LLC.

Policy Statement

The company prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind, whether based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by state, federal, or local law.

Prohibited Behavior

  1. Harassment: This includes any unwelcome conduct, whether verbal, physical, or visual, that is so severe or pervasive that it affects working conditions or creates a hostile work environment.
  2. Sexual Harassment: Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature constitute sexual harassment when this conduct explicitly or implicitly affects an individual’s employment, unreasonably interferes with an individual’s work performance, or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive work environment.
  3. Discrimination: Making any employment decision based on a person’s protected characteristics is strictly prohibited. This includes hiring, promotion, disciplinary action, termination, compensation, and access to training.

Reporting Procedures

  1. Employees who believe they have been harassed or discriminated against should report this concern promptly to their supervisor, Human Resources, or any member of management.
  2. The company will promptly and thoroughly investigate any complaints and will take appropriate action, up to and including disciplinary action, against any individual found to be in violation of our policy.

Retaliation Is Prohibited

The company prohibits retaliation against any employee who reports harassment or discrimination or participates in an investigation of such reports. Retaliation is a serious violation of this policy and, like harassment or discrimination itself, will be subject to disciplinary action.

Training

  1. All employees will receive training on this policy and their rights and obligations under it.
  2. Supervisory and managerial employees will receive additional training on how to deal with complaints of harassment and discrimination.

Enforcement

  1. Any allegations of harassment or discrimination will be taken seriously and investigated promptly.
  2. Disciplinary measures will be proportionate to the seriousness of the offense, up to and including termination of employment.

Compliance

This policy will be enforced in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Policy Review and Modification

This policy will be reviewed periodically and may be modified in response to feedback, changes in laws, or the introduction of new best practices.
